Part installation and interactive performance, the Society of Historic Sonic Happenings (SHSH) is an investigation of how we encounter history. Using sound and audience participation as the primary storytelling vehicles, the outcome is a co-created sound portrait of a place over time. Performers utilized wearable sound devices to create the illusion that audiences were locating and preserving historical site specific sounds. (Photos by Nicholas Mikhail Morgulis)
